I’m not the first
Hopefully not the last
Normal dads want a boy
Instead a girl would bring my daddy joy
My half brother of seven
Would rather if I not alive
So he thought at first

As I grow
He seems to know
I am better, faster, stronger and
I’m the best singer in his band
He may be the tree
But I am the brilliant, busy bee
I’m here year round but
He leaves weekly to his own home

Now something new
It seems I get a sister too
I wonder why mommy looked fat
My dad says, “great another brat”
I guess I was a pain in the butt

A sister to play with
A sister to teach and watch
A sister sounds fun
