A man off far away
Fighting for his friends and family
Making his home
Safer to live
Hidden by trees and brush
He waits for his mark
A shot is heard
The war has begun
Shouted commands and
Men barking orders
This man listens and
Does what he’s told
As he was trained to do
A sounding, a flag
Waving in swift white movements
They are coming home
The war is over
Love ones united and
Families celebrate
They are together again
Some frown and cry for the ones
Who never made it ou
But the heart and will of
The brave men will
Live on
